Aquabladz Club Nights

We run these nights and invite Waitara, Inglewood, Highlands and Omata swimming clubs to join us.  This helps create a great atmosphere.

These are held at Methanex Bell Block Aquatic Centre.

What Happens on Club Night

• Hone your racing skills and learn what to do at a racing event.

• Friendly fun atmosphere to make sure you start, swim and finish correctly and you get to know the rules.

• Swimmers to come along and meet the rest of the Aquabladz club (and/or other invited clubs).

• BWF/Aquabladz coaches prepare the schedule of events which are published prior to club night.

• Challenge Race to win some money

• Training environment for parents as these positions are required to run competitive meets :-

  • Timekeepers

  • Starter

  • Referee

  • IOT - Inspector Of Turns

  • JOS - Judge Of Stroke

• Other helpers on club night

  • BBQ Cooks for Sausage sizzle

  • Challenge organiser

  • Marshalling (organising the swimmers just before their race)
